About
Kaufmann Streamborn would like to thank all of the many attendees, instructors, representatives as well as the Howard Miller Steelhead Park for their enthusiastic participation in the 7th Annual Spey Days. We had a ton of fun putting it on and we really appreciate everyone coming out and having a good time.
With 2 months to go before this year’s event, we’re giddy with excitement over returning to the river and enjoying the best Spey has to offer to us. If you aren’t already, please feel free to keep up with any recent going’s on with our Wide World of Spey Days blog.
Spey Days Northwest 2010, Our 8th Annual – On the Skagit
For 2010, Spey Days returns to the Skagit River. We were very pleased with the new location at Howard Miller Steelhead Park in Rockport, Washington and look forward to a return. This is a perfect facility with a lot of river frontage, grass to cast on, a covered picnic shelter where manufacturers can display their products, a club house where we will have fly tying and line building, a slide show and dinner.
Fishing for steelhead is something we have the option to do every day of the year in the Northwest (except during floods!). Because of the constant angling, all aspects continue to evolve. This means fly lines ranging from shortest Skagit to the long belly, sink tips, leaders, reels and a broad range in flies are being fished in a wide range of weather conditions, stream flows and types of water. This is the most dynamic part of fly fishing at this time. We hope you share our passion for pursuing fish with spey fly fishing.
